Please include your device model, OS version, and the version of Ice Study (Settings ’ About). Screenshots help a lot for visual issues.
Ice Study uses the wall clock: as long as the app is installed and the session hasn’t been manually stopped, your elapsed time is computed from when you started, even if the app was backgrounded. On iOS, if your device auto-locked during a session, that’s expected — the timer keeps running. If you force-quit the app the session is paused; open it back up and tap resume.
If your device has Reduce Motion enabled, the melt animation simplifies to a linear fade with no wave or drips — that’s intentional. Otherwise, make sure the app is up to date; older Skia builds have rendering regressions.
Yes. Declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS doesn’t break anything; the app simply serves non-personalized ads. All features remain available.
Open Settings ’ Privacy choices. The option is only shown where required by law (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and regulated U.S. states).
No. You can skip the notifications prompt during onboarding or change the setting at any time under Settings. Without notifications enabled, you simply won’t get a “session done” banner when the app is in the background.
Not yet. All data is stored locally. Cloud sync is on the roadmap but not shipped.
